Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a quick, non-invasive imaging test that uses light waves to take cross-section pictures of your optic disc and retina. The results of the test produce a detailed analysis of the retina, in particular the macular and optic disc, and is able to identify early structural changes with the delicate eye tissue before being able to be detected with opththalmoscopy.
